Join us for intimate small group Pilates reformer classes. Find alignment and a toned body. Pilates Reformer classes offer low-impact, sculpting resistance to tone, sculpt and align your total body. We offer a variety of Pilates Reformer equipment based class formats that move quickly with a focus on breath, body positioning, and effective movements. Classes are limited to 9 participants.
This is a 45-minute workout that fuses Ballet’s lower bodywork with Pilates Reformer core and alignment movements. PBF starts with a warm-up on the barre, lower body sculpting, ballet-inspired leg work and then moves to the Reformer. On the Reformer, leg circles, sweeps, upper body strength work and core moves challenge balance using adjustable resistance springs.
This mind-body workout focuses on opening the body with traditional yoga postures combined with the sliding bed and spring resistance of the Pilates Reformer. Whether you’re an athlete or just trying to become more flexible, this class helps release tension and reset the mind and body. Foam rollers, Flexistretchers, infinity loops, the Pilates Reformer and other yoga tools may be incorporated.
TRX HIIT 30
TRX HIIT 30 offers a high-intensity, 30-minute interval training with bodyweight strength and low-impact cardio bursts. TRX is a form of suspension training that uses bodyweight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user's body weight to complete the exercises. SILENT yoga OUTSIDE
Reflect and tune in to your mind, body, and soul with a neon-lit silent yoga practice. Participants enter their own mental space through the use of the neon-lit wireless headphones to the sounds of the live DJ, while the instructor guides them through their practice. As one participant said, "The noise-canceling headsets provide a way to tune into your body. "Yoga has many health benefits including increased flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone. It can also lower blood pressure and reduce insomnia. The mind-body connection is the core essence of this practice. Classes are held outdoors at Lincoln Common located at Halsted and Fullerton streets.
